The Challenge
During the pandemic, care homes faced strict restrictions, leaving residents isolated from their families. A safe, practical solution was urgently needed to enable visits without risking the health of vulnerable residents.
The Solution
Working with Cube Modular, ModCon manufactured a series of small Care Home Pods. Each pod featured two separate entrances, a glass partition, and built-in audio equipment, allowing safe face-to-face interaction. Designed with comfortable décor, they provided a welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike.
Results
The Care Home Pods were rolled out across the country, rented and sold to care homes nationwide. They became a lifeline for many families, offering much-needed connection during difficult times and proving to be a vital support for the care sector.
